Storytellers

The hills and mountains of western North Carolina are alive with stories and the folks who tell them. From ancient Cherokee legends to the moonshiners and the dramatic conflicts in the War Between the States, there are thousands of ways to understand the language, culture and history of this area of the greater Appalachian ranges.  Why do they call this area Pisgah? or are there black mountains in Black Mountain? What happened at Laurel in Madison County?

A great treat for your event may be to have a unique story teller share tales that will widen the eyes of young and old alike. Target Entertainment provided Cherokee story teller Lloyd Arneach for a 2012 event at the Grove Park Inn. Lloyd amazed the audience with his tales of growing up on the reservation. He shared exciting tales and mysteries passed down thru generations.
